When designing and building open concept kitchens we encounter both structural and non-structural walls, shearwalls, hidden plumbing, vents and even lunch bags from years ago when the original laborers built the home. Yup...we handle it all, from structure retrofitting to lunch box removal. We perform the necessary engineering calculations and submit the plans to the city building department for approval.
